Privacy policy

The short version: no accounts, no cookies, no trackers. Your timers stay on your device.

What stays in your browser

To make a reload pick up where you left off, the tools save a few things in your browser’s local storage: running timers and stopwatches (their start or end times), lap times, your Pomodoro tally for today, your sound and theme choices, and the titles you type. This data never leaves your device — we cannot see it — and you can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies, and there are no third-party scripts, advertising networks or analytics trackers on the site.

Notifications, sound and the screen

If you turn on notifications, your browser asks for permission and then shows alerts generated on your device; we do not run a push service and never contact you. Alarm sounds are generated locally. While a timer runs, the page may ask your device to keep the screen awake; this is released when the timer stops.

Server logs

Like every website, our web server records standard technical logs of requests — IP address, time, the page requested, browser type and referring page — to keep the service secure and working. Logs are used only for that, are not combined with any other data, and are deleted on a rolling basis.

Shared links

A timer or countdown link you share contains only what you put in it — such as a duration, a title or a date — in the address itself. We do not store shared countdowns on our server.

Children

The site collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and can be used freely in classrooms.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date below will change with it. Questions? Email hello@timerstopwatch.com.
